FAQs

Online therapy takes place through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Sessions are similar to in-person therapy, with the added flexibility of meeting from the comfort of your own space. I also incorporate interactive tools such as shared resources, whiteboards, and digital exercises to make sessions engaging, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.
-
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and what you’re hoping for from this space. You’re not expected to share everything at once, this will just be a collaborative and supportive starting point.
-
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are most often scheduled weekly, especially at the beginning of therapy. As we go, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and progress.
-
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy, depending on your needs and goals. Short-term therapy is often more structured and focused on skill-building or addressing specific, acute concerns. Long-term therapy offers ongoing support and space to explore deeper patterns, navigate life transitions, and feel supported through all of life’s chapters.
-
You’ll need a device with a camera and microphone—such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone—and a reliable internet connection. Sessions are held on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. No special software is required beyond the platform link I provide, and I’ll guide you through any setup to make it simple and stress-free. Please make sure you’re in a private space during sessions to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

Therapy can be helpful for anyone navigating challenges, transitions, or emotions that feel difficult to manage alone. If you’re seeking support, tools to cope, or a safe space to reflect and grow, therapy could be a good fit. Even if you’re unsure, scheduling a session can help you explore whether this type of support meets your needs.
